One of the most important parts of your computer’s hard disk. It is often called main memory that stores all important data such as software applications, files and operating system. Hard drives have been around for a long time and even if some of the internal components can be changed, the basic concept of operation remains the same. There are six main components of hard disk and the motor spindle, dishes, read and write heads, actuator and electronic component that controls everything. All these parts are sealed with an aluminum box of electronic components attached to the side of the box. This case protects the inside of your hard drive moisture, dust and other harmful particles.

When your computer starts, ask the hard drive motor to spin the plates at high speeds, ranging from five thousand revolutions per minute, or rpm that fifteen thousand revolutions per minute, depending on the hard disk. These drums are held in the middle of a pin. Each of the plates, generally four in most hard drives have a very sensitive magnetic surface where data is stored.
