The other day I swung by my brother’s place so that I could drop off the violin strings that I had just bought him. He said that he was running low on funds and needed to borrow some money, so I just decided to pick up everything that he needed. He said that he was working on a grand performance and that it was going to debut at the end of the month at our local chamber music hall. Everyone in the family was looking forward to it and I just knew that it was going to be incredible.
I remember when we were little kids my brother was always playing with acoustic guitar strings. He was always just taken with the arts and I wish that I had spent more time doing this when I was a kid. I was more concerned with playing football and chasing girls, which although provided me with a lot of fun, didn’t really pan out for me in the long run. I remember once our parents bought us a bunch of brand-new guitar strings and I ended up just giving mine away to him. I knew that he would put them to good use and not waste them.
